Sacred Pilgrimage
Welcome
A pilgrimage is a journey to a sacred place undertaken as an act of religious devotion. Pilgrimage is not a tour but a sacred time to encounter spiritual renewal and healing in Christ.
The pilgrimage at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a tripart journey to Jesus through Mary, each phase drawing the pilgrim more intimately to Christ.
A Tripart Pilgrimage
The first is the Road Pilgrimage, the second is the Ascent Pilgrimage, and the third is the Church Pilgrimage.
1.The Road Pilgrimage
Plan how the group will journey to the Shrine Grounds.
Groups are encouraged to make the journey prayerful.
If needed, see our travel and lodging suggestions here.
2. The Ascent Pilgrimage
It is a half mile journey to the church.
You may embark on this journey self- or staff-guided.
Please find a map and get acquainted with our grounds here.
3.The Church Pilgrimage
You may journey through the Shrine Church on your own or
request a guide to take you through the journey.
You may find the Shrine Church map here.
