This month, we join the world in mourning the loss of Mother Mary Angelica of Annunciation (1923-2016).  Mother Angelica founded EWTN as well as the beautiful Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, Alabama.

Moved deeply by the holy legacy of Mother Angelica, the Shrine Our Lady of Guadalupe sent a staff member to honor her holy witness on earth.  After some last minute arrangements, our Shrine Pilgrimage Outreach Coordinator, Steve Doll, was able to find airline tickets, a rental car, and accommodations for the trip!

Steve, a Mother Angelica admirer, was able to join more than 2,000 mourners at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, Alabama, for Mother’s funeral.  Here are a few photos Steve took of his Pilgrimage in honor and remembrance of Mother Angelica.5-VIP seating only in Church 6-Start of Mother Angelica Casket Procession 7-Outdoor Seating - 1500+ people 8-VIP Reception after Funeral 9-OLAM Shrine Church 10-Castle that houses giftshop etc 1-Departing La Crosse 2-Drive onto Shrine Acres 3-Approaching Shrine of Blessed Sacrament Hanceville AL 4-Steve with Sister Servants - VIP tent - from Casa Maria in Birmingham
