Join the Shrine in celebrating the meaning of fatherhood this year!
St. Joseph is the Patron of the Universal Church and a strong role model to many men. On the journey up to the Shrine, you can see a beautiful sculpture of the Holy Family in which the paternal nature of St. Joseph is highlighted.
Fr. Anthony Brankin, the sculptor of the piece, remarked,
"We wanted to indicate in the final composition that tenderness and strength are not qualities arrayed in opposition to one another in a male, but rather to be found in abundance and together in the most manly of men and fatherly of fathers."
The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe prays for the tenderness and strength of fathers.
Families are welcome to join for Holy Mass Sunday, June 18th.
