Sacred Pilgrimage
Welcome
A pilgrimage is a journey to a sacred place undertaken as an act of religious devotion. Pilgrimage is not a tour but a sacred time to encounter spiritual renewal and healing in Christ.
The pilgrimage at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a tri-part journey to Jesus through Mary, each phase drawing the pilgrim more intimately to Christ.
A Tri-Part Pilgrimage
1. Journey to the Grounds
2. Journey to the Church
3. Journey through the Church
Coordination
PURPOSE
Determine what inspired this journey and encourage your group to unite their personal intentions to this general intention. This helps the journey be more intentional and helps the pilgrimage guide direct your prayer.
Some ideas for your purpose are included in the Pilgrimage Form below.
COMMITMENT
Determine the timeframe and date available for your visit on the grounds. Arrange your lodging and travel accordingly after receiving confirmation from the pilgrimage coordinator.
MEAL
Determine how the group would receive bodily nourishment during your visit.
VISITING CLERGY
His Excellency, Gerard W. Battersby, Bishop of the Diocese of La Crosse has asked that all visiting priests or deacons send a letter of suitability to the diocese if they desire to exercise ministry at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
