peregrine_smallThe first Saturday of May, following the memorial of St. Peregrine, is “Saint Peregrine Day” at the Shrine.

On Saturday, May 7, 2016,  a day of prayer will be offered for those with cancer or serious illness. Saint Peregrine is the patron saint of those with cancer.

At the conclusion of the 12:15pm Mass, a general Rite of Blessing for the Sick will be given with the First-class Relic of St. Peregrine, followed by an opportunity for individual veneration of the relic.

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick – reserved for those with cancer and other serious illness – will be available 15 minutes following conclusion of relic veneration.
