Orientation Video
The video, completed in December,
2003, explains the beginnings of the Shrine complex, provides a re-enactment
of the Apparitions of Our Lady to (Saint) Juan Diego in 1531, and gives an
overview of the full construction project. The orientation video lasts
approximately 27 minutes.

Culina Mariana
Restaurant
For pilgrims seeking food and refreshment,
Culina Mariana (Mary’s Kitchen), offers a place to rest and to
enjoy light fare and beverages. The Café opens for breakfast at 9:00 a.m.
and serves Pilgrims lunch until 2:00 p.m. and dessert/beverages until closing at 4:00 p.m.

Mother of Good
Counsel Votive Candle Chapel
A short walk from the Pilgrim Center. Nestled along side
the natural bluff, the chapel provides a place of serenity and inspiration
for prayer while housing a candle rack with 576 votive candles.

Meditation
Trail
Leaving the Votive
Candle Chapel, the Pilgrims may proceed along a paved meditation
trail that gradually climbs along the contours of the bluff leading to the
Shrine Church
and other outdoor devotions.

Outside
Stations of the Cross
The Stations wind alongside the bluff in a natural setting. A
paved path leads Pilgrims along the way of the cross; granite benches are
placed at each station to allow Pilgrims to rest, meditate, and pray.

Rosary Walk
The Rosary Walk at the
Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe is another opportunity to
recount the biblical stories of
Jesus and Mary. Pope John Paul II added five new Mysteries of Light (the
Luminous Mysteries), which are also portrayed along the walk.
