Feast of Saint Juan Diego with Cardinal Burke
Just before the Shrine opened its doors: St. Juan Diego’s native name was Cuauhtlatoatzin, which could be translated as “One who talks like an eagle” or “eagle that talks”. means “One who speaks like an eagle.” This morning, before 9:00a, there he was! An eagle sitting high up in a tree, on top of one of the ridges, overlooking Our Lady’s Shrine!
Cardinal Burke celebrated the 12:15p Mass on Tuesday, December 9th, Feastday of Saint Juan Diego.
During the Mass, over 35 children were inducted into the Saint Juan Diego Guild. Children from Sacred Heart School, Cashton, WI, and families, participated. Cardinal Burke greeted all those in attendance after the conclusion of Mass.
