history of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego, and then takes you on a
walking tour of the Shrine grounds. Learn why Archbishop Raymond L. Burke,
Founder of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, spoke the following words:
"In 1995, I first spoke of my vision of building a Shrine in honor of Our
Blessed Mother. It is my deep belief that, because of the ongoing spiritual
impoverishment so pervasive in today's society, the Shrine can provide a place
of fitting devotion to the Mother of God and can provide a place of spiritual
nourishment for the faithful both of La Crosse and beyond. The Shrine will also
provide a source of renewal for the weary - a privileged place to receive
the gifts of God's abundant mercy and grace.
